The R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl, Southeast Louisiana Boy Scouts of America, and the Girl Scouts Louisiana East are teaming up once again for the “Scouts for Football” program.  The R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl will once again be inviting all area Scouts from Southeast Louisiana to attend the Bowl Game for free.  All uniformed Scouts are invited to the Bowl Game and participate in pre-game pageantry and the National Anthem.  Parents and friends of the Scouts can purchase special $10 discounted tickets and sit in the reserved “Scout Section.”

The “Scouts For Football” program has quickly become a favorite activity for Scouts of all ages.  Torrey Hayden, Program Director SELA Boy Scouts of America, has been participating every year.  “Our Troop and Pack leaders really enjoy this event because it is an event that the whole family can attend.  It has quickly become one of the favorite activities we do and we look forward to the R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl every year.  The kid’s really love it because they get to go on the Superdome field, see the players and attend the Game with fellow Scouts from all over.”

The “Scouts for Football” program is not only another fun activity for the Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts to attend but it also serves as a sign that Scouting is coming back stronger than ever.  “This is an opportunity for Scouting to be put on a National stage.  It allows the community to see that Scouting is still going strong after 100 years by seeing over 1,000 Scouts in uniform for the opening of the Game,” Hayden added.
