The Audubon Insectarium – The newest addition to the Audubon family, located at 423 Canal St. Take a look at some on natures strangest and most beautiful insects, up close and personal.
The Audubon Aquarium – The Aquarium of the Americas is one of the highest rated Aquariums in the country. Located down the road from the insectarium at 1 Canal St, you can get your dose of stunning fish and reefs. You can also go check out the penguins and sea otters exhibits.
The Audubon Zoo – Take a trip uptown to one of the nation’s top ranked zoos. Located at 6500 Magazine St., you can get view some of the most eclectic animals nature has to offer. Also, take a stroll down to a real Louisiana swamp on the premises.
Golf at Audubon Park – Sitting within Audubon Park and next to the Audubon Zoo, the Audubon Golf Course is the newest in New Orleans. The par-62 course is surrounded by 100 year old oak trees and is the most scenic course in New Orleans.
Ride the Streetcar – Ride the streetcar and get a fabulous view of the city and what it has to offer. You can ride it through the quarter, or down St. Charles Ave to get some of the best views of the Garden District.
Café Du Monde – A New Orleans must. Wake up, or go to sleep with a beignet from Café Du Monde, they are open 24 hours. Accompany your beignet topped with a mound of powdered sugar with a signature café au lait to jump start your day.
Take a buggy ride or a ghost tour – Meet a New Orleans character and spend a few hours with them as they take you on a tour through our great city. They will fill you in on all of our great heritage and culture. Many also offer grave yard tours.
Eat. A lot. – Pick a place. Eat your heart out. You won’t be let down.
Go to a Museum – With so many to choose from, you can’t go to them all. The World War II Museum, Odgen Museum of Southern Art and the Contemporary Arts Center are just a few of the museums that New Orleans has to offer. Pick any one that suits your fancy.
Bourbon Street – Whether you want to go to party, or just to say you’ve been, Bourbon Street has a little bit for everyone. You can choose from some of the craziest bars, or some of the most historical bars to make your Bourbon experience right for you.
