R+L Carriers Delivers Sponsorship Extension
R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl officials and the Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation announced today both the official date for the 2009 R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl and the three-year renewal of R+L Carriers’ sponsorship of the Bowl game.
The ninth annual R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl will be held in the Louisiana Superdome on Sunday, December 20th, at 8:15est on ESPN. Bowl Chairman, Paul Valteau, expressed his excitement for keeping the game on a Sunday night, “In 2008, we learned the value of a Sunday night game, in that the fans and visitors were able to enjoy the entire experience of a weekend in New Orleans. The teams, families, and fans all made the most of their trip, and took advantage of all that New Orleans has to offer as a championship city. In 2009, we look forward to continuing this new tradition the weekend before Christmas in the Big Easy”.
In addition to the date confirmation, Bowl officials also announced a three-year renewal of their title sponsorship with R+L Carriers, continuing the partnership through the 2011 game. R+L Carriers, which initially assumed the title sponsorship in 2006, is a national leader in the LTL transportation industry. Billy Ferrante, Executive Director of the Bowl, announced the extension that was signed with the help of Karen George with Connectivity Marketing, “R+L Carriers’ renewal as our title sponsor is a testimony to the valuable relationship with have both enjoyed, and their commitment to being a great corporate citizen for the city of New Orleans. R+L Carriers played a large role in the growth of the event over the past couple of years, and we look forward to even more growth with their continued involvement.”
