Wyndham New Orleans Bowl Luncheon to Feature Archie Manning, Lynn Swann, and the 2004 Inspirational Award.
The 2004 Wyndham New Orleans Bowl Luncheon will be held this Monday, Dec. 13th, at 12:00 p.m. in the ballroom of the Park Plaza Hotel, (formerly the Radisson), at 1500 Canal Street.
The event is sold out, however, media covering the luncheon are encouraged to locate Sam Joffray (Bowl Director of Communications) upon their arrival, as limited seating for the media will be available.
Hosted by local sports commentator Jim Henderson, this year's event will feature guest speaker Former NFL Pro Bowl Quarterback and League MVP Archie Manning. Manning, father of two current NFL quarterbacks Peyton and Eli, will be the keynote speaker to the already sold out audience, which includes players, coaches, administration, alumni, sponsors, and fans from both participating schools (North Texas and Southern Miss).
A renowned speaker on leadership, motivation, and sports, Archie is also a published author, with his son Peyton, and has written a book entitled "Manning: A Father, His Sons and A Football Legacy". Additionally, Manning and his sons operate the Manning Passing Academy, a summer camp for high school quarterbacks and receivers.
Also addressing the audience at Monday's luncheon will be Former Pittsburgh Steeler, Pro Football Hall of Famer, ABC College Football Commentator and Wyndham International Board Member, Mr. Lynn Swann.
Manning, Swann, and selected players and coaches from both schools will be available for media interviews before and after the luncheon program, as well as this year's recipient of the Wyndham New Orleans Bowl Inspirational Award.
