DENTON, Texas- The University of North Texas returned to the practice field for the second time this week in preparations for the December 18 New Orleans Bowl against Colorado State. Wednesday's practice saw the reserves compete in a full scrimmage following a full team and individual workout.
Sun Belt Conference Coach of the Year Darrell Dickey will give his team the day off Thursday before hitting the gridiron for consecutive workouts on Friday and Saturday.
"The team was ready to get out on the practice field and get started with preparations for the New Orleans Bowl where we know we are going to face a great opponent in Colorado State," said Dickey. "The loss at Troy State was disappointing and we are ready to put that behind us and get ready for what will be one of the biggest challenges of our season".
Quarterback Scott Hall was not limited in team or individual drills. Hall had knee surgery following the Idaho game and saw limited practice time prior to the Troy State game. Running back Kevin Galbreath was back at full speed in practice following his injury against Louisiana Lafayette.
The team will have a regular practice schedule beginning Monday December 10th before leaving for New Orleans on Friday Dec. 14.
