Mean Green continue preparations for New Orleans Bowl
DENTON, Texas- North Texas returned to the practice field today in their final week of preparation for the New Orleans Bowl on December 18th. Running back Kevin Galbreath and quarterback Scott Hall were back practicing at full speed. Both had been nursing injuries the past few weeks.
"Today's practice was like the beginning of any normal week of practice throughout the year," said head coach Darrell Dickey. "We started preparing for a very fine Colorado State team the same way we prepared for our opponents all season long."
The Mean Green will have a full week of practice before leaving on Friday December 14th for New Orleans. The team will practice on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and have a walk through on Monday in New Orleans before the December 18th game. North Texas will practice at the Superdome every day, except on Saturday when North Texas will practice at Tulane University.
This is also the beginning of finals week for North Texas so the players will also concentrate on their studies along with football. Several players are missing practice time due to conflicting finals schedules.
